Our vacation trip pictures give a story about our adventures in Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Croatia
The vacation trip idea came after first year in retirement. We needed a break in Eastern Europe. We started from Romania went through Serbia to revisit what was left from twenty years ago refugee camp Banja Kovilaca, visited Medugorje in Muslim Bosnja, enjoyed the Adriatic coast of Croatia and came back to Romania. This is how close I was to say "Thank You" on the Serbian side of the Danube.

The visit in Romania was fun
In our first week we have been hit from behind by a Suzuky motorcycle! We cruised with a legal 100 Km (70 Mi)/hour speed at the time of impact. The motorcycle could not pass us because incoming traffic. He was hard on his breaks, smacked our rear fender with about 20 over our 100 and rolled over. We have been lucky. Since nobody was hurt, the police was nice. Their word of wisdom was there are two kinds of motorcycle drivers: The ones that fell and the other that will.

The pastry sold on the streets are delicious and full of cheese and remembering.

We climbed 3200ft in six hours and enjoyed the sun setting and the sun rising from the top of Holly Ceahlau Mountain.

We visited Medugorje in Bosnia on June 23, 2010
We have been there only two days before the 29th anniversary of Mather of God/Madonna first apparition. Thousands of pilgrims were everywhere in and around Medugorje. They had been coming from all continents except Antarctica.
